How To Run WhatsApp On Your PC

WhatsApp is a free messenger designed to be used on smartphones. It works over the internet and allows you to talk to any person living anywhere on planet Earth provided that you know their cellphone number. The app is designed for Nokia Symbian, iPhone, Android and Windows Phone devices and it’s completely free to use for the first year. Don’t let that last line bother you, since there are ways to get it for an unlimited time.

I did not mention PC or Mac in the supported platforms because this app is not officially available on them. But the title wasn’t misleading since we got it running on a PC and Mac.

What will I need?

The tools or rather software that you need is a simple Android emulator for PC/Mac. The one we’ll be using is the well-known Bluestacks App Player you can download from the link provided below.

Download Bluestacks App Player!

And yes, WhatsApp will need your cell-number so you better make sure you have one.

Your system must have a 1GB+ RAM for running the emulator. Good graphics card and processor will obviously result in better rendering but a simple one would also do. Mac OS X or PC with XP SP3, Vista, 7 and 8 are supported.

Let’s Begin…

  • The steps shown below work for both PC and Mac. Just make sure you download the correct version of Bluestacks.
  • First up, download and install Bluestacks app player. It’s a straight forward installation. However it might want to download extra stuff so your internet connection better be working
  • Run the player from the desktop icon. You’ll get to a screen similar to the one shown below

  • Click on the Search icon and enter WhatsApp
  • Select WhatsApp Messenger from the list and proceed to the installation. It might also ask you for a Google account, just provide that right away. Since it is an Android emulator, you’ll be navigated to Google Play. Click Install and it’ll start the download.

  • And that’s it! WhatsApp will ask you to enter a valid phone number. The verification will also work through that number so you better enter it correctly.
  • Great! Now you can use WhatsApp the way you do it on a smartphone. You can customize your profile, contact all your friends regardless of which platform they are running the app on and also get live notifications of new messages from the emulator.

Enjoy WhatsApp!

What is Google Author Ranking and how it works?

Google has done a lot of things to continue to improve its search results to display relevant results according to what is sought by the user . If my friend to follow the latest developments on Google , then the friend will hear the term Google Author Rank . Although it has not been listened too , I 'm sure my friend has had little idea about what it is Author Rank .

Google is working to develop a ranking system content to get better search results , the system was named Author Rank . Indeed, this system is similar to the Page rank , but there is little fundamental difference . For that let us discuss together here .

What exactly is Author Rank it ?

Buddy know page rank is not ? Google uses many factors into account to rank a page ( page ) . This means that high -quality pages that will rank high in the search results . In the ranking of a page , we can easily calculate incoming links , the quality of the incoming links , traffic , page hits , and other things that determine the ranking of a page . But what about those ( Author ) who writes the content on the page ?

Before the advent of google plus , google does not have a solid way to investigate and find out who the actual owner of a blog / site . google plus with google authorship seems to be the drug of these issues . Since the problems are solved , a google search for a new breakthrough with the rank of the author , as well as their rank a page ( page ) . initial idea of Author Rank .

You may also read: Create Google Plus Page For Blogger Tips

Author Rank effectively will affect the search results content buddy . Pal 's reputation as a content creator will affect how well the SERP ( Search Engine Result Page ) of the contents .

How does Author Rank ?

So far , we know that the author rank is a new ranking system . But we must remember this system does not change the algorithm used google today . I still feel at home with the panda and penguin . Here Author Rank only act as a supplement only. Author Rank will provide information to the page rank , this means that the author is high ranking will affect towards a better SERP .

This shows that Google is now doing a slight shift of emphasis towards the individual ranking / author who produces content - good content and quality . How Google measures the level of trust a site was extremely interesting , google seems to love the blog started "going social " ( connected to both the readers on the social network ) . Looks like google believe that blogs are reliable is a blog that author able to interact with the visitors / readers well . Knowing that , we as bloggers should start to going social from now because it will be one of the key ranking google . How good content writing and how good buddy with reader interaction will contribute to the level of Author Rank . For that two things must be considered properly .

What are the affects Author Rank ?

Once again it should be emphasized here that the Author Rank alone will not give a great effect to the ranking of your blog , Author Rank merely one factor alone . Google takes into account over 200 factors , some were going to affect the Author Rank buddy , while others will affect the ranking of the search results content  .
For that let us study some of the factors that influence the Author Rank :

  • Involvement Google Plus - How many circles ( circles ) on google plus author shows how popular the author . For the start of putting the "add to circle " on your blog , I also plan to put it shortly. Please prayer .. hehe : D
  • How many hits we get to share the content - How much +1 , like , tweet , either pin it on google , facebook , twitter , pinterest Author Rank affect us . For that let us plug also social media sharing buttons on your blog :) .
  • Site / Blog another in which the author contributed - Total other sites where the author contributed , the integrity of the author , and the average page rank of these sites was also highly influential .
  • Total Posts in Google Plus and other social media
  • The author's connection with another author on google plus - As a quality backlink will provide a high page rank for a page , as well as the Author Rank . Connection / relationship with the author who has a high Rank Author will give good results at Author Rank buddy .
  • On-site engagement - The number of comments on the content of a reply from the author and the author of these comments also affects Author Rank .
  • Involvement Youtube - Activity on youtube and it also affects the number of subscribers :)
  • Authorities other indicators - The books you publish in google books and has a profile page on wikipedia has a stake in improving Author Rank.

Google did not explain in detail the factors of Author rank , stuff above is just a rough idea of the new system . There is no harm if we prepare ourselves to get a good Rank Author is not it?

Hopefully the things I said above is useful and can support the success of my friends in the blogging activity . please appreciate my work and leave a comment and give me a chance to thanking you my friend. :)

How To Change Fonts on Android

Changing Fonts are one of the many customizations options which can be done on both Rooted and Unrooted devices and you have plenty of fonts to choose. If you have already rooted your device, you can even add your custom font to the device, and if your device is not rooted, there are still some fonts waiting for you.

Let’s review 4 easy ways to change fonts on Android both on devices requires Root or without root:

Install a Launcher (No Root is Required)

We have talked so much about Android Launchers, and you already know their advantages. Some launchers like Go Launcher, or Apex let you choose a font from a list of available fonts. This method is very easy and the only prerequisite for the installation is to have these launchers installed on your device.

The only disadvantage of changing fonts from a launcher is that, it only affects the parts of the device that are under the authority of the launcher. For example since the main settings of the device remains unchanged after installing a launcher, then you shouldn’t expect to see a change in settings fonts.

Install System Fonts (No Root is Required)

This method is used if your phone supports Font changing feature. For example both Korean companies (LG and Samsung) have some pre-installed fonts and they even let you download more font packages from Google Play. Fonts are changed on the entire menus of the device and if you haven’t rooted your device and you happen to own a Galaxy device, then this is the best and easiest way to change fonts on your device.

Go to Settings…Display…Font Style. There you have 5 options as default fonts. Tapping the “Get Fonts Online” takes you to Google Play and let you download many beautiful packages.

Install from Font Management apps (Requires ROOT access)

Whe n you take the risk and Root your device, you expect to have some accesses and features, which are worth the risk and voiding the guaranty.

There are some font management applications which provide hundreds of beautiful fonts with many options to customize. These Android apps are easy to use and after installation you can choose the fonts you like.

iFont(Fonts For Android) and Font Installer ★ Root ★ are 2 of the best Android apps to change fonts. Make sure your read the developers description before installation to see it your phone is supported or not.

Download iFont from Google Play

Download Font Installer from Google Play

Note that iFont provides some features for Galaxy users which haven’t Rooted their devices.

Manually Add Custom Fonts (Requires ROOT access)

This method is not recommended for those who haven’t got much experience changing system files. By the way, you can find all the installed fonts under this path: /system/fonts. You can replace your custom fonts with already existing ones in this folder. You must rename the font name and know which font you should replace, otherwise the process doesn’t go through.

How to Remove "Powered By Blogger" Attribution from Blogger

As many of you know that Blogger is completely developed in XML (Extensible Mark Up Language). Blogger has its own XML codes which you can use to add elements or to remove elements. Those who make Blogger templates must know XML. There are many attributes or links on default blogger templates which sometimes people don't want to see on their blogs. And one out of those links is "Powered By Blogger" Attribution which appears in every blogger default template at the footer.

So today, we will find the easiest and quickest way to remove this link.

Note: Before editing your template, you may want to save a copy of it. Back Up Your Template.

4. Click on Edit HTML button.

5. Click Proceed button to continue.

6. Now you have to find the code of attribution element. Search for the code snippet similar to below in the template,
<b:widget id='Attribution1' locked='true' title='' type='Attribution'>

i.e: <b:widget id='Attribution1' locked='false' title='' type='Attribution'>

<b:section class='foot' id='footer-3' showaddelement='no'>

9. Now change attribute value showaddelement to yes as below,
<b:section class='foot' id='footer-3' showaddelement='yes'>

Text Features in Photoshop Beginners tutorial

In this tutorial we are going to train you not only how to add vertical and horizontal text with the type tools, but how to warp the text. We will be discussing spell checking and other features such as typing on a path using the Pen tool. By the time you are done with this training, you will understand these areas, plus more. Text is fun, so let’s have fun with this tutorial and learn the basics of the Type tool. Sit back and enjoy this tutorial.
Currently we are using Windows XP and the Photoshop CS4 Extended version.

Knowledge You Need to Know:

If you are unfamiliar with certain areas that are not covered in this tutorial, feel free to visit us at: http:/tonyisright.blogspot.com. We have many different types of tutorials that will train you for free! Once you have the knowledge, feel free to come back and go through this tutorial again.

Preparing The Canvas:

Create a new canvas of 800 X 800 (pixels) and set the background to White. Once created, change your foreground color to anything you would like.
Horizontal Type Tool:
You will find the Horizontal Type Tool in the toolbox and it will show a letter “T” as a symbol. If you have a 2 column toolbox, then it will be located directly above the drawing tools (discussed in a previous tutorial). Right click on the “T” to display the Type Tool sub-menu. Left Click on the Horizontal Type Tool (this will type text from left to right). Photoshop Tip – You can also open the sub-menu by holding down the Left mouse button over the Tool.

You will notice these important options for the Horizontal Type Tool will be displayed.
A). Left Click on the canvas to type.
B). Under the “Image” menu, Left Click this drop-down menu to select a different font.
C). Under the “3D” menu, Left Click this box to change the font size or enter a value.
D). Under the “Help” menu, Left Click how you want the text to be format, such as left justified, center, or right justified.
E). Left Click the color to change the text color.
F). The circle with a line through it is the “Cancel” button.
G). Left Click the check box to commit (finish).
Photoshop Tip – If you want to edit the text, then make sure you have the Horizontal type tool selected and Left Click on the text. You will notice Photoshop will then allow you to edit the text and the options. To highlight all or partial of the text, use the Horizontal Type Tool and single Left Click the first letter that you want to edit. Now hold down the Left mouse button and drag it to the right side. When you are finished, release the Left mouse button.

Warping Text:
You can warp text, which is very similar to the Warp Tool in the Transform Path screen (see transforming objects tutorial).
A). Left Click this button (to the right of the color box) to display the Warp Text options. The button has a letter “T” with a double arrow that is curved down.
B). Left Click the “Style” drop-down box and Left Click on a preset. As you change the styles, you will see the text change. On this example, select “Arc” preset style.
C). When you are finished, Left Click the “OK” button.

The example below is the “Arc” preset. Please note in later tutorials we will show how you can bevel or add a drop shadow or even add a texture. Today we just want to cover the basics of this tool.

Vertical Type Tool
The Vertical Type Tool allows you to type text up and down versus the Horizontal Type Tool which allows you to add text left to right.
A). Right click the “T” and Left Click the “Vertical Type Tool”.
B). Left Click on the canvas to begin typing.
The rest of the options are the same as the Horizontal Type Tool (Please read that section for more details).
Photoshop Tip – The keyboard shortcut to go to the active Type Tool is the letter “T”.

Check Spelling:
Photoshop comes with a spell checker. After you type your text, Left Click on the “Edit” menu and Left Click on the “Check Spelling” command.

You will notice the “Check Spelling” will highlight the incorrect word.
A). It will suggest the top recommendation of the spelling of the word. You can change the word by Left clicking any of the “Suggestions”.
B). If you have multiple layers then make sure the “Check All Layers” is selected (by default, this is automatically selected).
C). When you are done with spell checking, Left Click the “Done” button.
D). Either “Ignore” or “Ignore All” will bypass the incorrect spelling.
E). Either “Change” or “Change All” will change the incorrect spelling to the one listed in the “Change To” (A) field.
F). If you feel the word is spelled correctly, Left Click the “Add” button to add it to the dictionary.

Adding Text To A Path:
Photoshop gives you the functionality to type on a path. What is a path? Think of it as a path in the woods. The path might not be straight, but if you walk the path it will get you to the end. We are going to draw the path with the Pen Tool.
For this example, create a new 800 X 800 with a white background. The Pen tool can be a bit confusing, so we will take the next few steps slowly. In the future, we will be creating a tutorial strictly about the Pen Tool. Right click the Pen Toolbox (located in a 2 column toolbox, 4 up from the hand on the left side). Left Click the “Pen Tool”.

We need to turn on the Paths option. Once you selected the “Pen” tool, Left Click the Paths option, which is located under the “Edit” menu. The button actually shows a picture of a pen with a box around it.

On this example we would like you to move the “Pen” tool towards the left hand side of the canvas and single Left Click. You will notice it creates a “Point”.

On this example, move to the right hand side (A) and when you Left Click on this spot, hold down the Left mouse button. Now drag the mouse down to the bottom right (B) and release the Left mouse button.

Congratulation, you have just drawn a path. There are many intermediate or advanced users that have never used the “Pen” tool. Now select the “Horizontal Type” Tool and move your mouse cursor to the “Path” Line. You will see the cursor change. When you Left Click, it will put an “X” for the starting point. Now type your characters and use the “Cancel” or “Commit” button to finish the path.

Congratulations, you have just finished the tutorial on the Type tools, plus you have used the Pen tool to create a path.
